Similar to our residential HomePLUS product, the HomePLUS for Business employs much of the same diagnostic evaluation tools - a blower door test, infrared thermography, a visual inspection of a building’s physical and mechanical systems, plus the inspection report and prioritized upgrade list.

Available to businesses operating in former residential buildings, Thurston Energy’s HomePLUS for Business combines a comprehensive energy assessment with our follow-up services and discounts to help business owners make their buildings more energy efficient and comfortable.

Our evaluation package includes the following:

• A 2-3 hour visit by a trained BPI (Building Performance Institute) certified energy expert to evaluate your home’s current energy performance.
• High-tech diagnostics like a blower door test and infrared photos to identify air leaks and heat loss.
• A numerical Energy Performance Score (EPS) that describes your building’s current energy performance, and can be compared to other buildings.
• A consultation with the energy expert to discuss the most cost-effective energy-saving improvements that would not only cut electricity usage but also increase your building’s ability to retain warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer.
• Follow-up telephone and email support from Thurston Energy’s Business Manager to help you hire contractors to conduct energy upgrade services, understand your eligibility for tax credits and utility rebates, and help you get financing through one of our partner lending institutions.
