This year, Thurston Energy, City of Olympia, City of Lacey, Puget Sound Energy, Intercity Transit, dozens of local businesses and thousands of residents are coming together to support independent renewable energy producers in our region. Together, we’ll reduce pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and boost the Pacific Northwest’s economy.

Plus, when we make our goal of 1,011 new green power participants in 2011, the cities will each receive a grant from Puget Sound Energy to create two new solar power projects, right here in our region! For as little as $4 per month you can make a difference. And it’s easy to sign up.

When you choose 100 percent green power for your home or business, you’ll:

• Avoid an estimated 16,000 lbs. of carbon dioxide emissions,
• Create local jobs in renewable energy, and
• Lessen our dependence on fossil fuels.
